Okay, so this week is actually two weeks worth of comics that I picked up and there happen to be a few so..
Here’s how this weeks comics break down…
8 Comics/4 Publishers
- Dynamite
- Marvel
- Vertigo
- DC
So, lets get right to it okay.…
Dynamite Comics
The Complete Dracula issue 3
Obviously, issue three picks up where issue two left off and that’s all I will say for the moment…the jury ( namely me ) is still out on this series, but I do know that they will be offering the complete series as a ” Hardcover ” edition when all is said and done.
Vertigo
House of Mystery issue#17
” Poetics ” part two of the Beauty of Decay storyline
What I’ve liked most about this new series, House of Mystery, is the story within a story concept which actually draws you further into this comic. So far, I have not been disappointed with a single issue of this comic..not a one!
Marvel
Captain America Reborn issue#3
Okay, is he dead or not?!
This series is very interesting as we see glimpses into the past of Steve Rogers, colliding with the present…and let me tell you that one page can make or break a comic…page three of this issue with Namor is to quote an oft time used phrase..” Nuff Said ! ”
And five (5) DC titles this week…
Okay, lets look at my least favorite of these comics I picked up this week…
Dead Romeo issue#Six
I have to say that I was really disappointed with this series ( and I haven’t even finished this issue ), but it just didn’t do it for me…while the story was not too bad, it just was not engaging enough for my liking, and I sorry to say that the art just did not get it at all.
Dead Romeo can stay dead.
Action Comics issue#880 and Supergirl issue#44
Both of these comics continues the Codename:Patriot storyline which began in the Superman: World of New Krypton comic series
Okay, I have to admit that this is a storyline that I believe I will have to follow through all of the Superman titles, as the whole New Krypton storyline has caught my interest to say the least.
And the Summer Blockbuster comics series event from DC continues to rumble into the Fall withn the continuation of Blackest Night…
Blackest Night issues#3
Black Hand continues to grow his Black Lantern ranks as this series continues onward and we see more of the fallen heroes of the DC Universe, rise and swell the ranks of the Black Lanterns.
Blackest Night: Batman issue#2
Okay, so here is one of the ties ins to this series along with the Blackest Night : Superman limited series that I’m following, but have not gotten to read as of yet, so I really cannot say a whole lot about this as of yet.
Okay, that wraps up this weeks pulls from my favorite and only place to get my comics Main Street Comics!
