Welcome To Comic Book Wednesday..On A Thursday!

Hi there everyone.

Okay, my ” Comic Book Wednes­day ” is a day late, but to be fair my pick list this week was short to say the least.

DC Comics

This week’s DC picks were just two comics…and one of them was free

Black­est Night issue#0

Okay, this was actu­ally a ” Free Comic Book Day ” throw­back from May, which I just picked up today, and while it’s not really a first issue…this comic does give some back­ground to what is to come.

John Constantine-Hellblazer issue#256

This is the first part of a three issue story arc called ” Hooked ” brought to us by Mil­li­gan, Camuncoli, and Landini

And..drum roll please…

Mar­vel Comics

Cap­tain Amer­ica issue#600

Okay, here comes Mar­vel again doing the revert­ing to reg­u­lar num­ber­ing for one of it’s titles…this was also done for the recent Thor#600…not sure why Mar­vel is doing this but hope­fully it will become clear at a later date…hopefully..and there are a bunch of cre­ative and famous names involved in this issue includ­ing Alex Ross, Paul Dini, Ed Brubaker, Howard Chaykin, Roger Stern, and more.

Well, as I said this was a short pick week…so I’ll leave you all with this..

Next Week I will be send­ing off some ques­tions to the artist of the manga, Tantric Strip­fighter Trina, Fer­nando Furukawa, who works out of Alter­comics Studios.

Fer­nando has also done some of the art chores on the manga comics from the World of War­craft series Leg­ends Vols Three and Four…so if you have a ques­tion that you would like to ask Fer­nando, email it to me @snewmark@hvc.rr.com and I will make sure I get it into my list of ques­tions to ask for this interview.
