L&K’S Less Than Grand Opening!

Hi There Everyone.

Okay, so last Saturday was L&K’S ” Grand Opening “, and as is always the case ( never mind Murphy’s Law, this is Lew’s Law! ) the opening was anything but grand!

Heading down to the flea market that Saturday, when I walk in, there is still a problem with the electric, and I have no lights to my display cases, and no electric power to speak of…so that means no power to use the portable dvd player I wanted to have running for anime dvds, and no power to use my laptop to test the signal for my wireless Verizon Modem ( and this past Saturday, I was not well enough to go down there all together, so there goes another opportunity missed!

And traffic was slow at best during most of the day, and on top of that, I had heard that some of my new customers had expected the opening to occur the week before ( even thou the ad ran the following week , with the date and all! )

We did have some business, but I have to wonder how much business was lost due to people coming to the flea market a few days earlier, and actually using flashlights, to find their way around…I know I would not be too thrilled with that idea, much less want to actually come back…unless there was something I really wanted at this place!

We did have the give-a-ways, and of course everyone likes to win free stuff so that went over well, and all in all, we did attract some new customers, so while the Grand Opening was not so grand, we did manage to make some new friends and hope to continue the trend in the future.
