Well, here we are again with the second part of my review of the Hellblazer storyline ” Joyride ” still continuing from issue#235…
In the meantime, three of the four young men responsible for the death of Sophie Greggs, are at this moment meeting in one of the local pubs, looking for one of their own, named Danny..but he seems to have disappeared.
Appearantly, they are worried that Danny might be talking with the local authorities about the death of Sophie, telling them that he doesn’t know how to drive a car and pointing the finger at one of the others in the group that are involved.
And apparently, there seems to be a problem with a cell phone belonging to one of the group….a sent message that the owner never sent, with a message that says
” Meet At The Creek At Six. Bring A…Gav “
Is someone trying to set Gav up?
In the meantime, Constantine, having put the Lodestone in a second hand asda bag, heads back to his flat to examine the Lodestone.
Here is the explanation given in the comic of what a Lodestone is…
” A Loadstone is kinda like a Physic Beacon, like a navigation buoy for Astral Entities…A GPS system for souls “
Constantine accesses the Lodestone, and finds that it’s been Booby Trapped, not an unusual occurrence for Constantine anyway.
Caught off his guard, Constantine finds himself naked in the Astral Void, and has to take control, and does, first by clothing himself, and than trying to determine “Where The Fuck I Am “, quote, unquote.
He sees a light in the emptiness of this void, and wonders if someone is there?
Approaching the light, Constantine comes face to face with a body of a man, which is nothing more than a vegetable, and he bears the markings of what he believes is a
” Celtic , possibly Druidic Shaman ”
Constantine, decides that it is time to leave the void, he meditates, and seems to come to a wall . He just needs to find a way to push on thru….he gets back to the real World, only to find himself falling in front of an oncoming train…lands on the tracks, and narrowly escapes death from the on coming train….and declares….
” WAR “
