World of Warcraft- The Collectible Card Game March 28, 2008
Posted by 54071 in : TCG & CCG Card Games , 1 comment so farWorld of Warcraft- The Trading Card game
I know that I haven’t really talked about this particular card game as of yet, but I have dabbled with it here and there and I have tested out some products including the Onyxia’s Lair Raid Deck set, which I admit was a lot of fun to play, and so I started to see what new products had been released lately from Upper Deck ( the same folks responsible the VS game ) which I have also played and enjoyed, and I found a new raid deck set named Magtheridon’s Lair, and as soon as I have had a chance to play test this latest addition to my ever growing amount of CCG gaming stuff ( sorry dear, yes another thing that will be all over the house ) I will of course let all of you know my thoughts on the fun factor of this set.
I Still Love Dark Shadows!
Posted by 54071 in : Uncategorized , add a commentThank God for Netfix!
I get to be a kid again thanks to Netflix, and their extensive library of titles, which just happens to include a show that when I was a little kid would scare the CRAP out of me…DARK SHADOWS
Dark Shadows, with it’s mix of Romance, Mystery ( well at least at the time for me there was Mystery ), and of course…Gothic Horror, which of course included your usual Witches, Warlocks, Zombies, Ghosts, Gypsies..and one show stealing Vampire who would become the most important character on Dark Shadows…
Barnabas Collins..The Vampire Everyone Loved To Hate!
Barnabas, played by Jonathan Frid, totally changed the complexion of the show, and gave Vampirism a good name!
And better than thirty years later ( nothing like dating yourself Lew ) my wife and I get to enjoy this great ( if not a bit campy to us now ) soap opera, and I get to live my childhood all over again.
And if you are a Dark Shadows fan, here are a few links to sites that might interest you…go a head and click em…you know you want to!
The Incredible Hulk..Was A Remake Really Necessary? March 26, 2008
Posted by 54071 in : Comic Movies , 1 comment so farOkay, question of the day…Was A Remake of The Incredible Hulk Really Necessary?
I Think not!
What’s that, I doth protest too much you say…well of course I do…that’s why your here reading this post isn’t it?!
Okay, I’ve seen the trailer for the movie and it looks like the movie is going to be okay ( not sure if it warrants a $10 ticket thou ), and I have nothing against Edward Norton as an actor, and I’m not saying that he won’t be a good Bruce Banner, what I am saying is they could have used Eric Bana again?
One thing I did notice was a scene or( maybe two ) that paid direct homage to the Incredible Hulk television series that featured Bill Bixby and Lou Feriggno, where Bixby’s Banner is sitting in some sort of a reclined chair with some sort of machinery surrounding him, and also a scene where they take a tight closeup of Norton’s face ( the eyes to be exact ) when he goes thru the change into the Hulk.
And as far as the Hulk himself goes, okay he looks alot shorter in this outing, but I really had no problem with the original Hulk in the first movie ( yeah, so what if he was 15 feet tall! ) I mean how many different incarnations of the Hulk have we been witness to over the years ( never mind that now we are reading a comic called The Hulk ) and that in his latest incarnation, he just happens to be… RED!
And the Abomination…come on now!
With all we are able to do with CGI now, the best they could do was give us an over grown, over muscled, Zombie-esque type of creature?
Well, again, my first choice of movies to see in the Summer movie season is Iron Man ( and I just noticed that Downey Jr. is supposed to be in the Hulk movie ) than it becomes a toss up for me as to the Hulk movie or the next Bat movie, but I see myself ( as I have already stated earliar ) seeing the Bat movie first, just to pay homage to Heath Ledger.

Alter’s Sexy Cowboy Figure Line Continues
Posted by 54071 in : Anime Figures , 1 comment so farSatsuriku no Jango: Franco Il Nero This is the second figure in this series from Alter, due to be released at the end of this month. I only have two of these figures on order, and will be sold as items in stock rather than my usual Figure Pre-Sell.
Franco is definetly showing us her better side in this 1/8th scale figure.

Satsuriku no Jango Sequel: Lily Salvatana

Sexy Elf Cowgirl Lily Salvatano is the third figure in this Alter series and at the very least, the most Buxom! I will be putting Lily up for sale in my store sometime this week and will have an update here when that is done. She will be released this August, so feast your eyes upon this coy, yet sexy cowgirl.
A New Look To Fanboy
Posted by 54071 in : Uncategorized , add a commentI just wanted to let everyone know that sometime within the next two months there will be a new look to Fanboy@50, and I will be looking to offer some sort of a newsletter in the future, but more on that as I draw closer to being to actually offer content for that newsletter.
And sometime in the future, I will be looking to further my brand with a separate L&K Anime Otaku Heaven store, this site will be separate from Ebay and not sure if I will keep the same name or come up with something all new, but again more on this in the near future.

Thor’s Quest Continues
Posted by 54071 in : Comics , add a comment
Issues 6 & 7 of Thor ( and I just realized that the title isn’t called The Mighty Thor anymore ) have been just great reading, and if you’ve been reading my comic reviews over the past few days, you know for me, that’s saying alot.
To make this short and to the point, in issue 6, Thor resurrects all the citizens of Asgard, and Asgard stands proud once more, and Thor again has claimed his heritage as the Thunder God…and while Thor has restored the Gods of Asgard…there is one God who’s presence is still missing …and in issue 7, writer J. Michael Straczynski and a new artist ( at least new to me ) Marko Djurdjevic bring us the origin of Odin, and delves further into the mystery of why Thor has seen fit not to resurrect Odin…I can’t wait for issue 8 to hit the stands!
