As we start ” Daylight Savings Time ” that time of the year here on the east coast where we set the clocks back an hour and actually gain an extra hour of nap-time ( and as my clock strikes 1:am, it is actually 12:am Sunday Morning technically of course ) I have started to list the Pre-Sells for November for L&K’S Anime Otaku Heaven, I have noticed that these listings are for items that are being solicited for next year, and I have to start thinking about how the year is starting to pass by quickly now.
And before you know it the Christmas and Hanukkah Holidays will be upon us, but of course we first have to get to Thanksgiving first.
I’m talking about this from a very personal place right now, and not for my business….
I want to say to all of you as the holiday season approaches, try to take the time to be with and appreciate your loved ones…
Your Mom and Dad, your Wife, your Husband, your Daughter, your Son, your Grandmother and Grandfather.
Take the time to spend some time….take a moment and take it all in with your family…
I think sometimes in the moments of rushing out to get presents, and your holiday Turkey or that Spiral Ham for that holiday dinner that your going to cook for your family, that we get caught up buying those presents, or that Turkey or Ham, without really enjoying time with our loved ones.
I can’t begin to tell all of you how important that time really is.
The last couple of years for me, the holidays have not been the same and this year will not be any different for myself and my wife and daughter.
This will be the first year that we celebrate the holidays without my Mom and Dad, and to be honest I am not sure how I will react to or feel on these days of celebration this year. I try to have a positive attitude toward this years holiday season, but I just do not feel that happy about them this year in particular.
So as you sit down this year to your holiday dinners and open your presents with your family, take that moment to look around and appreciate what you have and who your with, because these are the moments that we should cherish.
So, in closing this post, I wish you all the happiest of moments to enjoy with your family and friends during this holiday season, and remember to take a moment and look around you, at your family and friends and just live in the moment!
Lew, your Fanboy@50.
