Good morning.
Yesterday being comics day, I went and got my fix, and while I picked up my comics that were on hold for me, I added two comics that I will be doing reviews of.
The first book, which I had seen last week and thought I would wait a week on ( actually unsure if I even wanted to pick this comic up ) was The Ride Die Valkyre from Image comics.
And another Image book which was out last week and I purposely passed on was Spawn Godslayer. If you recall I did a review of the Godslayer one shot and I wasn’t very favorable toward the book due to it’s subject and the cost for the book.
Well, I wanted to be fair, and so in fairness, I decided to pick up this book and will follow it thru it’s first story arc, and will be reviewing the first issue.
We will see if I decide to review the rest of the series following each issue or just an overall reiew of the first arc.
Either way, I’m not expecting alot from this series.
and just a little note…while Diamond Comics Distributors announced that it had sold out it’s shipments of the Silver Surfer, Requiem #1Â to retailers, this doesn’t mean that the comic sold out at your favorite comics watering hole. I asked about it yesterday because I saw alot of the first issue still available, and of course, the book was heavily ordered because of the tie in to the new FF movie featuring the Surfer.
I did a quick thumb thru of the comic, and while it didn’t look to bad, I’m not in any hurry to pick it up just yet.
